Marlene Rossman, president of Manhattan Wine Seminars, LLC, has recently relocated to California from New York. She is the Sommelier at Laguna Culinary Arts, Laguna Beach. Marlene formerly taught wine education to culinary students at New York’s French Culinary Institute. She develops and provides custom wine education programs to Fortune 500 corporations. Marlene is an instructor in the Wine Certificate Program at the University of California at Irvine
Marlene is the Managing Editor and wine reviewer for Wine Country International. She was the featured commentator in a series of syndicated news programs on “U.S. Wine in World Markets” produced by the Associated Press Television News.
Marlene is the founder and president emeritus of Women for WineSense, New York; a founding member of the American Sommelier Association and a member of the Society of Wine Educators. She is a frequent judge at international wine competitions.
As president for over 15 years, of Rossman, Graham Associates (RGA), Marlene specialized in consumer buying behavior and segmentation marketing. Marlene also sold wine at retail to gather research for RGA’s Women’s Wine Preference Survey, a study of wine purchasing and consuming, published in 2000.
In her career as a marketing executive Marlene wrote three books and was Adjunct Professor at New York University and Executive-in-Residence at the University of San Diego. Marlene Rossman holds a BA in English, an MA in Linguistics and an MBA in Marketing.
