Dale has been a "basement" winemaker for over 30 years. When retirement loomed he was not one to sit on the couch and watch Oprah, so he started the Yellow Farmhouse Vineyard & Winery in 2005

Estate consists of approximately 10 acres, 3.5 of which are planted in Norton and Traminette vines. The Winery also leases a 3.5 acre vineyard nearby with Vignoles and Chambourcin vines.

Other Missouri varietals are purchased from nearby growers. A limited amount of California grapes were purchased during the "Great Freeze of 2007", crushed and fermented in our winery to produce Chardonnay, Barbera and Sauvignon Blanc.
