St. Innocent Winery: winery information

Winemaker: Mark Vlossak

Mark Vlossak's training as a winemaker began when he was a young man and tasted wines daily with his father, a wine importer. As an amateur, he produced sparkling wine in 1985-87 and apprenticed with Fred Arterberry, Jr. at Arterberry, Ltd. in 1987 and 1988. At The Wine Lab in Napa, CA, he trained in enology under the tutelage of Lisa Van de Water. He was the winemaker for Panther Creek Cellars from 1994 to 1999. Mark received the WINE ADVOCATE's "Wine Personalities of the Year” in 2002 and again in 2004.

Annual Production: 7,500 cases

Futures
Futures are offered each year in mid-November. The 'futures' offerings are unique wines that are only offered as futures and represent the best wine(s) that St. Innocent produced in a specific vintage. Limited to 98 cases, they represent the 'tetes de cuvee'. See our website for details.

Estate Vineyard Acreage
St. Innocent purchased an interest in Zenith Vineyard (formerly O'Connor Vineyard) in May 2006. Our new 'estate' is a 133 acre site located in Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills appellation. We are constructing a new winery at Zenith that will open in October 2007. Our new address will be 5657 Zena Road NW, Salem, OR 97304.
