Winemaker: David Larsen

David discovered wine while on a trip to Europe after completing his active duty in the Marine Corps. He was impressed with how wine enhanced their meals and soon began making wine from the blackberries on his parent's property. He graduated to making grape wine when he joined the winemaking club of his employer, The Boeing Company. Inspired by the success of Leonetti, Woodward Canyon and Quilceda Creek, in 1989 he started his own winery in the family garage. For fifteen years he worked 60 - 80 hours a week at Boeing and in the winery until becoming a full-time winemaker in 2004. He also enjoys running marathons and hiking in the mountains of Washington State.
