New Winemaker Tim Milos takes the helm starting with the 04 vintage. Release of the 2004 wines is planned for June 2008. Tim has a modern approach and plans to respect the original founder's impressive legacy, while interpreting the terroir of Mt. Veeder in his own way. The new wines are noticeably richer and more extracted in style and feature greater emphasis on depth of fruit. With a nod to the past, and an eye to the future, the transition of winemaking style is in step with the worldwide trend toward deeper fruit qualities in the wine. That being said, Rubissow wines will always be about one thing. Mount Veeder. And the sense of place consistently found in each glass of this winery's delightful bottlings remains strong and rich.
