Sol Rouge is a family estate vineyard and winery located in the Red Hills Appellation at elevations of almost 2000’. North of Napa in the foothills of a dormant volcano, this land contains rich, red volcanic soil and derives its name, Sol Rouge (translating to “Red Soil” in French), from this unique profile. This 70 acre estate, focused on Rhone and Bordeaux varietals, is an aggressive hillside site with slopes up to 60% and the tightest vine spacing around.
