The Schatz family has been growing grapes in the Lodi Appellation since the 1950's. The winery is located on their vineyard that is lined by a historic railroad spur where three packing shed were once located. In the early 1900’s these packing sheds were common stops for locomotives to ship Lodi grapes throughout the nation. Thus, the label Peltier Station emerged in honor of the local history and abounding railroads that helped build California.
