Take a taste in time, with Mattaponi Wine! The name comes from the three rivers in Spotsylvania County: Matta, Po, and Ni. Mattaponi has been used in history to name the Indian tribe once ruled by Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas’ Father. The delightful mountain berries of Virginia have been used for generations and today we bring to you our variety of tasteful wines!
We are a small winery located in the heart of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Our winery is a family operated business. We Grand Opened to the public at the Discovery Days Festival in August 2006. Our selections of wine include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Concord Grape, and we specialize in an assortment of Fruit Wines.
