In 1996, on a whim, Dad decided to plant nine acres of Cabernet
Sauvignon in our backyard. "He doesn't even drink wine," my sister
commented. Well, battling naysayers, fires and earthquakes, Eden Canyon
Vineyards somehow produced grapes for wines that have picked up an
accolade here and there. Dad did all right...
