Founded in 1857 as the first premium winery in California, Buena Vista Carneros is the largest landholder in the Carneros appellation with 1000 acres of property. Set along a south-facing hillside overlooking the San Francisco Bay, this breathtaking property has more than 167 blocks delineated by geology and topography. Recent significant capital investments in winemaking and viticulture include 60 new open top fermenters and the careful replanting of its 800 acres to selected clones of our core grape varietals. Buena Vista sources only estate fruit, and is the leading quality wine producer from the Carneros region.
