Winemaker: Tim Sampson

Tim worked his first harvest at Canoe Ridge Vineyard in 1995 under the tutelage of John Abbott and served Canoe Ridge in all phases of production until 2000 when he joined with Casey and Vicky McClellan at Seven Hills Winery, serving as Cellarmaster until 2002. Tim chose to concentrate on lesser-known varietals when he began Yellow Hawk Cellar in 1998, selecting Sangiovese as the signature wine.
