Karl R. Lehmann is the winemaker and craftsman of Vellum Wine Craft. A man whose goal in life is to make the best wines in the world, Mr. Lehmann’s skill and intensity are unmatched by his contemporaries. After an honorable 4 years of service in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War, Mr. Lehmann graduated from the prestigious U.C. Davis Viticulture and Enology program. He has been making wine under the tutelage of legendary winemakers for over 8 years. The 2007 Vellum Cabernet Sauvignon represents Mr. Lehmann's premiere vintage with Vellum.

Jeffrey W. Mathy is the proprietor and managing director of Vellum Wine Craft. From an early age, Mr. Mathy dreamed of producing ultra-premium wines in Napa Valley. After graduating from U.C. Davis and pursuing his goal to climb the highest mountains on every continent, Mr. Mathy began a career in winemaking. While working with large and small wineries in Sonoma and Napa, Mr. Mathy established a reputation for strong ethics and a commitment to excellence. He holds an advanced certification from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust in London and has managed wine programs for the American Center for Wine Food and the Arts.
