Name as many correct Cabernet Sauvignon varietal characteristics as you can.
Did you include wild berries, blackberry, plum, fine tobacco leaf, coffee and a slight dusty note? If so, you know the aromas of Heart of the Desert Cabernet Sauvignon that pleasantly surprised us at its bargain price of $12.
Don’t be put off by the non-vintage designation. Winery general manager Steve Jaszai said, “our vision is to vintage date but we’re a young winery and we’re learning to grow with baby steps.”
If you’re looking for a Cabernet Sauvignon with immediate drinkability or one that will satisfy when you’d just like to drink a pleasant red wine on a week night or one that will be perfect with roast chicken or a vegetarian pizza, this is your wine. Its plum accented and juicy finish will delight your taste buds.
