Appearance Straw-gold to amber Amber-gold after considerable age.
Aroma Concentrated honey, rosin, pine needles, cashew nut, coconut, tamarind, graham, quince, coffee and yeasty notes. No oxidation despite alarming color. Botrytis honey and orange, jasmin, peach nectar, meaty elements, tamarind and petrol, developing considerable bouquet over time.
Flavor Intense, full-bodied, flavors of toffee, honey, marmite, coconut, apricot and dried orange peel and tamarind, complexed by sur lies influence. Sometimes bitter in the finish. Amazing density and minerality. Around 4% residual sugar, balanced by substantial acidity.
Balance Moderate alcohol, occasionally sweet, driving minerality, very long and rich.
