Varietal: Valdiguie | Napa Gamay

TASTE BENCHMARKS
  Profile #1
Appearance Medium-light red.
Aroma Affable, generous raspberry and rhubarb aromas from this grape we used to put in the best Gamay.
Flavor Jammy, downhome cheerfulness and light but brash tannins.
Balance Bright acidity.
PRODUCTION CORRELATIONS
Oenological Stainless fermentations and brief time in oak or oxygenated in tank.
Viticultural Capable of large scale, economical precision viticulture similar to the factory farms of the Monterey AVA, resulting in rich wines which are quite affordable.
Terroir Although this appellation has sunken river bed to its west which shelters vines from wind, this is reserved for red wines, Valdeguie is grown with the whites on the exposed alluvial fan to the east, gaining richness, ripeness and natural sweetness to its distance from the Pacific and its rocky subsoils.
