Alamosa Wine Cellars is a small winery dedicated to the production of warm climate varietals: Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Viognier & Syrah. Winemaker Jim Johnson (UC Davis '91) creates "Old World" style wines from his estate vineyard, using co-fermentation, field blends and minimalist winemaking.
The winery offers a tasting room, picnic area, and bocce court.

Visiting the Winery

We are located 90 miles northwest of Austin in San Saba County -- three miles west of Bend, Texas. Follow Hwy-580 to County Rd 430.

The winery and tasting room are open the first weekend of each month, Texas Hill Country Wine Trail weekend (www.texaswinetrail.com), and holiday weekends -- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
